Travel Must Haves for your Getaway

Sunscreen lotions and detans : When travelling in summer, getting tanned is the most common worry. Make sure you back the most effective sun-screen lotion (anything between SPF 30-40 is good enough). Also, make sure you carry detanning face washes and masks, so that you can temporarily get rid of the tan, if a sudden clubbing plan crops up.

Minimum two pairs of comfortable footwear : Do not depend on one pair of footwear, since you never know how much you will be walking. Always, carry two to three comfortable pairs of footwear so that you have options (one of them waterproof), as walking bare foot on a sunny afternoon is not very pleasant.

Travel apps: Load your phone with some useful travel apps that will come handy when in emergency. Apps like WeatherPro (that offers weather reports), TravelSafe Pro (a life-saving database of emergency service numbers).

Your favourite music and books : Never leave home without stocking up your ipod with your favourite music and packing in a couple of your best reads. These will help you when you are bored or just want to turn a blind eye to the world.

Waterproof clothing : If it is summer, and you never know when you feel like taking a dip. Hence, wherever you plan to go, do not forget to carry a pair of waterproof clothing like lycras, swimsuits or a pair of quick dry shorts.

Light weight snacks and water : Always keep your travel bag packed with snacks to munch on, things like soya cups, wholegrain biscuits, etc. They will help you survive with water especially, when you do not find a restaurant nearby and have to walk for miles before finding something to eat.

Wireless charger : Your phone is your access to the world, and nothing is more frustrating than a dead phone. Hence, make sure you carry a portable charger so that you can charge your phone whenever you want (keep the wireless charger fully charged).

Medication and basic toiletries : Your backpack must have a first aid kit and some basic medication required for a common cold, muscle pain or indigestion issues. Also, make sure you have an organized clinique with all the required toiletries like your brush, toothpaste, shaving kit, mouthwash, etc.
