Kalghatgi is a panchayat town in Dharwad district in Karnataka about 30 Kms from Dharwad.
Primary attractions include two Jain temples. One of them is called Dodda basadi, a primitive temple devoted to Sri Shanthinatha Tirthankar. The other one is Chickka basadi. It has enshrined its principal deity namely Bhagwan Parshwanatha. Access point has been built so that Kalghatgi remains connected with other places. Hubli Junction Railway Station lies in vicinity.
Shri Basaveshwar Temple is located in Bhogenagarakoppa at a distance of approximately 14 km from Kalghatagi. Kalghatagi has the Mahalakshmi temple which is famous for its architectural excellence.
