Muttupettai is an old town that is located in the Thanjavur District in Tamil Nadu. Muttupettai is known for the Dargah which is 700 years old. The Dargah is built in an ancient style called the Mahratta Style. It is known as the Andavar Shaool Dawood Khamil Oliyulh Dargah. This Dargah is open to any person to wishes to visit the place irrespective of class, creed and religion. The dargah is a holy place for many Muslims in the district and many people flock to worship at the dargah. Muttupettai is also known for being one of the oldest inhabited Muslim towns in the State.
