Nagavara Lake in Bangalore

Nagawara lake has been converted into the city's first and only boating and leisure park that offers a variety of entertainment activities. The major attractions of the Nagawara lake includes wave pool, various types of boat rides, and children park. The boat ride includes Family bumper boat rides, speed boating, bumper boating, boating on jet skies, leisure boating and boat restaurants. It also includes floating coffee shop and floating restaurants, wave pool, musical fountains, water-skiing devices for jet skiing.

Children can look forward to rotating carousel, vortex, a variety of swings, the Spanish bull fight with life-like simulated and inflatable bulls and children's pool.

The lake has been taken on a lease for 15 years and the project has come through a tender called by the state government. The lake was in a very bad shape and was maintained by the forest department.

There are plans for ecofriendly measures like developing 20,000 plants of different species. The facility was inaugurated by opposition leader N Dharam Singh and health minister R Ashok in June 2006.
