Shivaganga

Shivaganga falls is a 74 m high waterfall on the river Sonda in Uttara Kannada on the border of three taluks Sirsi, Yellapur and Ankola of Uttara Kannada district. Shivaganga is one of the unique waterfalls in the Western Ghats. Shivaganga falls is about 22 km away from the town of Sirsi. The waterfall is located in an area of thick forest. A temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, can be seen in the middle of the river. Distance from Konanakunte Cross Road, Konanakunte to Shivaganga Hill is 68.2 km and travel time is around 1 h 26 min via NICE Ring Road and NH4. Distance from Shivaganga, Karnataka to Jalahalli Cross is 37.6 km and travelling takes around 52 min via NH48.

By Air: Nearest Airport is Dabolim.

By Rail: Nearest Railhead is Kumta

By Road: There is no proper road, and after moving through a motorable road from Hulekal to Sampigadde near Mensi village, one has to cross the thick forest in order to reach this spot.
