Historical Places Of Bangalore

Lalbagh Gardens
Haider Ali created the garden while Tipu Sultan added trees and plants for other countries. Lalbagh Garden has over 1800 species of medicinal, tropical, sub tropical and floral plants. Kempe Gowda tower, one of the four, is located in this garden. Flower shows are organized here on Republic Day & Independence Day every year.

Cubbon Park
Cubbon Park is located in the cantonment of Bangalore. The Museums and High Court State Library are located here along with Fountains, Bandstand and Statues.

Aquarium
Aquariumis situated on Kasturba Gandhi Road and known for an excellent fresh water collection.

Government Museum
It is established in the year 1886 and one of the oldest museums in India. This museum has nearly 18 galleries comprising of antique jewelry, textiles, coins, art, Neolithic finds from various civilizations and miniature paintings.

Vidhana Soudha
It is in the northern boundary of the cubbon park. It is the resident of the Secretariat and State Legislature.

Racecourse
Racing been arranged almost all year round, mainly May to June and Nov to Mar.

Venkatappa, Hebbar, Wood Sculptor Rajaram, and many others Art been exhibits here.

Vishveswaraya Industrial & Technological Museum
This Museum has the historic steam engine of Maharatha Railways & India's first combat Aircraft.

The Bull Temple
The temple (established in 16th Century) is situated at Basavangudi in the Kempe Gowda.

Tipu's Summer Palace
Tipu's Summer Palace was started by Haider Ali and then completed by Tipu Sultan in the year 1789. This Palace is a 2-storied and the attractive things are the woodwork and Paintings of ceilings.
