Kengal Anjaneya Swamy Temple

Kengal Anjaneya Swamy temple is situated in Ramanagara, around 50km from Bangalore. This place is surrounded by rocky hills, close to Channapatna town. The famous bollywood film 'Sholay' was shot here. This place also houses one of the historical temples , Kengal Anjaneya Swamy temple , this is on the Mysore Bangalore National highway.



Kengal Anjaneya Swamy temple was built during the period of Karnataka's 2nd chief minister , Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah who is also the chief architect behind Vidhana Soudha, the legislature building in Bangalore. This temple is older than 60 years by now.

This temple is open on all days between 7 AM to 7 PM. Tourists from all over the city pour in here to get the blessings of Lord Hanuman also known as Anjaneya (The son of Anjana). Special poojas are conducted on every Saturdays.
