Martin Farm
Martin Farm is a great location for a one day outing in Bangalore with your Kids. Spread over 2 acres off Sarjapur Road, Martin Farm is a haven for nature lovers and kids alike. School trips and Birthday parties are also hosted here. Owned by Ossie and Marie Martin, the farm is also the residence of the family. Started in the early 80's primarily as the family residence it has grown slowly and organically into what it is today. The Martin Farm is ideal for a quick getaway from Bangalore town.
Martins farm is located very close to Carmelaram Railway Station on road towards Krupanidhi College. After crossing the church from Carmelaram railway station you will find Malabar Bakery. Take right from here and this leads to Martins Farm at a distance of around 200m. If you coming from Sarjapur Road after passing Wipro gate take right at Mahabir Marble stores. Take the left turn which takes you past Carmelaram station. At the next T junction to Malabar Bakery take right as indicated in a wooden sign board for Martin Farm. Take the next Left and Martin Farm would be on the right.
Kids can feed animals and intercat with them at the farm. The Farm provides all the food, and we can feed the animals. The farm has Turkey, Ducks, Pigs, Pegions, Swans, cows, horses, Donkeys, Sheeps, Goats, emus, rabbits, guinea pigs and turtles. Few of them are caged but others roam around in the surroundings. There is also a small childrens play area near the entrance. There is a swing, rope climbing, slide and few other fun games for children. You will find a huge sparrows nest near the play area. With plenty of open space for running around, Martin farm would be a thoroughly enjoyable one day outing in Bangalore.
